Stihl 045/056 fuel cap tank valve modification

I had a problem with the fuel cap on my Stihl 056. He was letting fuel through the valve. I took it apart and got an idea.



1. Take the pliers and pull out the center part , you will see a valve tube

2. you need universal tank valve,and you need to remove the rubber part, after removing you have to shorten at the first thickening

3.with tweezers, pull it sideways onto the tube, see the picture

,and our upgrade is almost done, put back the central plug with the retaining chain(pic 1.) and no more fuel leaks! it also no longer needs a valve screw, it lets air in and does not let fuel out.
if you have lost a fuel vent screw you should definitely try this. to mention my fuel filler cap has a side screw , I don't know, maybe it can be done on a different one.
