Stihl 046??

Does anyone have the front half or the whole muffler for an 046? I have the back part that mounts against the cylinder. Thank you

Try to find one of the "Magnum" front covers, if you can.  The part number is mentioned specifically in some posts somewhere here.

I just bought one of the 046 magnum mufflers that Glens is referring to for my 044, I could find the part number if you want....

That would be good Matt thank you. Are they alot of moey, I guess I could buy one from my dealer,just trying to cut some costs though.

The part number should be #1128 140 0801 It cost me 38$ canadian...

My dad went to order the muffler cover, and I told him to order the magnum one. He said he went to the shop and told them he wanted to order a magnum front cover for it. They told him the saw was not a magnum, without even picking it up and looking at it. It does not have an air filter where it usually says magnum on. He said is their an apperance difference? They said no. Than how can you tell. They said it is big enough anyway it does not need a magnum muffler. So I guess they ordered a standard one. I was cutting trails for 4 wheelers in my friends woods or I would have gone. I guess we will try to talk them into it again.

How would I tell if my saw was a magnum or not.

The whole muffler assembly (USA version) for the magnum is part number 1128 140 0616. This includes the back, the front cover, the new spark screen and front bracket.

Just the front is 1128 145 0805 (USA version) for the magnum.
