Hello,

Just getting started and wondered if anyone would recommend a good bar and chain for milling. I'll be working with 30 inch white pine logs. Also, I would like to only use a handle helper? Anyone can help I'd appreciate it? Thanks Jason

hard to find but stihl made 25' 3003 picco bars that let you run low pro/picco chains, need to have a picco sprocket too.

25" bar will handle a 30" log, square up two sides and have at it.

if you don't buy milling chain regrind to 10-5 degrees

Do you mean "no mill" and you will just use a helper handle??

Yes. I'm looking to rip a log in half. I have a 066 big bore Stihl and I'm looking for a bar and chain? One that I can mount a helper on the end, I guess. Thanks I'm looking for recommendations.
