Are they new 'in the box'? Or used? If new, is the warranty still in effect? Or will a nice man in a uniform come visit me about 2 days after I read off the serial number to Stihl to register the warranty?

additional 066 info

I called today and was told they were lease saws used as a main saw for a period of time then used as a spare for a time ( about 6 months) spare use etc. The man said on a scale of 1 to 10 these saws were " on up there toward 9" on over all condition and 3 texas tens would get me one plus shipping. I also hinted if this was the bottom dollar , he said yes if I just wanted one saw., so maybe I some one is interested in quanity you might get them ,well maybe a little cheaper . I ordered one ,I'll try it and keep you posted if I am happy with it.

spreaderman, how many hours on the saws. Have they been maintained? I would not trust what the man said unless you know the shop and maintenence. Just my two cents...ya'll think about it.

some nice guys in white suits may come get me in the next few days because they may think I'm crazy for buying the saw site unseen.... But he said "they" do all the maintance on them an that they would rather over maintain than to put things off and risk the down time for the user. When I get it and try it I WILL post the condition and if I am pleased with the purchase.

the 066 arrived

I recieved the 066 I ordered by US mail to day. I recieved 1 066 powerhead a 36" oregon bar a new 404 / 36" chain ,manual wrench, etc. I put it all together an gas an oil pulled it 4 times on choke it hit , took off the choke an she fired up. The saw has been clean good ,it has "tom" incribed in the handle. The saw is a 066 magnum. I am very pleased with the purchase. I would recommend them. For 300.00 and shipping... I'm very pleased, I haven't put it in wood yet but it should do well.

I don't know if there are any left or not, they said that there are about 15 saws, but I haven't talked to them since monday. Yes that is 300.00 in us , my credit card said 545.00 and had a canada address on it. But again I started it up this evening and am very pleased.
