Guys who have been looking for 070 this is your chance
Its a good candidate for 090 conversion too
Pros:
This saw is a very low hour 1, im the 2nd owner.
1st owner was a logger and he passed away couple years ago,
its his backup saw for big stuff supposedly
he's nephew sold it to me thinking it was broken
All i did was change new fuel filter/line, carb kit, magnet, clutch washer, clutch
(previous one was lined ones which came off)
those who are familiar with 070/090 will know what im saying
It runs like a champ, i have not pulled out the muffler to check yet but im pretty sure
its in very good shape, it will rip your arms out if you dont decomp when starting
This is the later model where Stihl were countering their imitations
alot Stihl stamps on the parts, my guess would be its anywhere from year 2000~2005
Cons:
The guy painted some blue paint on clutch cover and oil tank to hide a minor crack
on the clutch cover and i tried to clean it with kerosene and there's still work to do on cleaning
It's a half ass job you could say
Minor crack on air cleaner cover knob
I might consider a trade with 084, but prefer to sell it as i need some cash atm
