Does anyone know where i can pick these up at?
One Stihl shop said they cant get them and another said if they could it will be around $5-600 which sounds insane.

Thanks

084

Good used cylinders have been going for $75 and up, watched 3 sale for $75 and one just sale for $68 and good stihl piston has been going for $25.

$25... I wouldn't sell a genuine stihl for that price.. Someone needs their head read... or maybe it needed new rings etc anyhow..

I would like to find a good used cylinder for an 880......

Any one got one.

thanks alot

It is slightly off topic, I suppose, but with the very rare (or very expensive) parts, it makes a lot of sense to suck it up and look for the high wear items before you ever need them. Those big saws are astoundingly expensive and it makes sense to give yourself the opportunity to shop around a bit or find good used. Additionally, you can get that thing back on line quickly... my local saw shop is backed up four weeks!

What's up with Husqvarna? I've waited about a month for a 288 base gasket! My 288 is going to give up hope that that it will ever run again.

Why not buy a complete gasket kit for $10-$12 and have extras left over. Planning ahead like you stated.
