Hi all,
all of a sudden my old Stihl 08s stopped running. The last time I used it there was no issue. I tried to start it the other day, but nothing. I disconnected the fuel line coming out of the tank and going into the carb and there was no fuel inside. When I put a small amount of fuel in the open end and pulled the cord it did move to the carb, so there is compression coming from the carb. The fuel line inside the tank seems to be very soft, felling spongy. I have left some fuel in the tank for few months. Can this caused the fuel line to become that spongy? And is it the issue or it might be something else?
PS do I have to remove the card in order to change the fuel line in the tank, as it seems I cannot put the plastic cap retaining the fual line in the tank if I dont remove the carb.
