I had no trouble getting a choke linkage for my 090 here in the US of A. This same part for an 042 is definitely NLA, and the 090 is a far older saw. Same goes for air filters.
In any case, it's hard to know what year the saw is based off the serial#.
I think most parts are avaiable. If the regional distributors don't have them in stock they order them from Germany. Every part number I have checked on is still good. I have ordered several different parts and received all of them so far.
20 to 1 that seem s pretty rich good thing i only ran at 50 to 1 for a couple minutes. is there any way to identify the year.are they all the same.when did they stop making them.thanks!
to ID the year, well, you'd have to email stihl for that, and you might get an answer. I'm pretty sure they're still in production in S america, but not the US/canada.
These did not come from Mike. I would have (and still will) buy his if he can find them. The last I knew he had the gears but could not find them. I know that feeling well.
