Was looking on Stihls website & saw that they've got a 194. What are the main differences in that & the 193? Anyone run one & would you recommend the 193 or 194? We currently have an 020, two 200s, & a few 201s but was thinking of getting a smaller, lighter climbing saw...

150/151 T is the lightest, but down on power compared to the 193/194

I have a 193 T that I bought used but in good shape about 4 years ago. It has run flawlessly & has done quite a few larger projects
with local storm damage. I run a 12 " bar. I don't expect it to perform like a 200/201, but for what it offers it's worth the $ to me.

The 194 looks to have slightly more hp & about $20 diff compared to the older 193

I’ve ran 192’s, 193’s and only one 194 so far. While the 194 had a “new” feel still, it seems to perform as well as my broke in 193. Right now I don’t have a preference for which one I grab.

Thanks guys! We have 16" bars on all of our other top handle climbing saws but I'm thinking a 14" bar for the 194. Good call?

There are very minor differences between them. Someone works 5 minutes more
