I have a 201 I bought new 4-5 years ago. I use it for clearing trails way off in the woods. Been a great little saw. But lately it will just stall out on me. Mostly happens just as I'm getting done cutting something. Sometimes it happens while cutting, but rarely. Doesn't seem to matter if I'm cutting at 90 degrees or straight down. Starts back up after a few pulls and has not stopped me from getting the job done, but it's getting annoying.

Any ideas where to start looking would be appreciated. Air filter is clean, plug has been changed.

usually thats a sign the fuel delivery solenoid is not working as it should, as they wear they dribble more fuel, and run rich, eventually they dont like hot starting either.

Do you have the orange fuel filter ?
if not get them as a pair, solenoid and upgraded fuel filter.

Also, to add, what is the reset proceedure for the mtronic for your saw, it will be in your manual, try that, if it dosent work, then the likely culprit is the solenoid.
