Can You Say CORNHOLE

Maybe you should try one of the many sponsors here. They I am sure will save you money one long bars. Try Jeff S.. He is an awsome person to buy things from.

Long bar

A suggestion, request a catalog, from Bailey's,depending on the brand of bar,you could buy several for that amount of money, several chain loops,as well.;) Works for me!

Stihl is very proud of their stuff and will make you pay for it, but that does sound a little on the high side. Look around at some dealers here on site and check prices, I think you can do better.

where can i go to find prices on stihl bars of that length?stihl does not list prices.never used these bars.how do they rate with others?

newfie

using it on a mill that i made.i don't need the full 41"but i lose about 8-10" with the set up including the nose with a sprocket

On large bars spend some money you don't want a cheap 42" bar its difficcult enough to match cuyts eith those saggy rigs.

$260 is very high even if it is Canadian. I assume since you state 41" you are wanting one for a 051/076/088/090. I believe the current Baileys price for a Cannon 41" is $200 US. If you are running a 066 then they have a 42" Oregon for $68. I know Jeff did have some large bars at really good prices but he may be out.

it's for a 090.problem with cannon is there is no place close by otherwise i would have gone already.the stihl place is 2 minutes from my house.from what i know, stihl bars are good so i'll probably take the kick to the b@lls and buy one.

I'd put together a reply last night but evidently changed my mind (or it's hiding around here somewhere).

I very much prefer Stihl bars.  I understand that for some reason Stihl Canada deals in Stihl-branded bars made by Oregon in Canada.  Maybe the bar that large isn't available that way and must be imported from Germany at a big hit for shipping/duties, etc.  Our bars down here in the USA are German made.

Even if the solid replaceable nose bars weren't made better (in my opinion and experience) than the others, the availability of the 13-tooth nose sprocket, with the greater radius that provides, is worth a bit extra for me.  The performance while boring with those is better by quite a bit.  I haven't handled any Cannon bars, so can't properly include them in either comparison.

Good tools don't cost you money, they make you money.
