Went out to a customers house today to fix a gas leak and as i walked past the open garage door i glanced in(i'm always looking for a saw sitting in the corner). Something orange and white caught my eye and i couldn't believe what i saw. A stihl blitz gas can is something i have never seen before. The homeowner showed me how it came apart and it even had some tools in the bottom so of course i had to ask if it was for sale. He said his wife bought it at a yard sale and was going to resale it at an antique shop. Gave him my number, wife called when she got home, and now it sits with the rest of my collection. I'm sure alot of you guys have seen these before but i hadn't and thought it was super cool and just couldn't live without it.

did a little research and think they were sold in the late '80s. When i found it, it had a price tag sticker on it of $3. I figured that was what she paid for it so i hoped to get it for not much more but when i went back she said $20. I hated to give that knowing she had 3 bucks in it but there was no way i was gonna leave it behind. I checked on ebay before i went back and saw one with a starting bid of $50 so i figured i did ok.

I picked up this Blitz Fuel Tool mate for ten dollars and paid $60 to have it powder coated , no decals on it now though .

Wow, that things look pretty good! You gonna put some "stihl" stickers on it?
Would a Stihl dealer have stickers ? I had to repaint the bottom of it because the powder coating place painted it metallic gray black the top is OK though , the guy said he had a lot of people wanting to buy it while it was there for a few months because I forgot all about it .

Not sure about a dealer but i googled "stihl stickers" or something similar a while back and found several places that sold the stickers for $4-$6. It shouldnt be hard to find some.
