The starter cover looks to be an 024/026. the other, I think could be an 028, but I'm not sure.

Looks like 2 different saws. The one with the recoil is either an 024 or 026. The other may be an 028. Then again 028s and 038s have a cover over the sprocket drum. Neither one of those saws has that type of cover.

Saw Identification

I'm referencing pic ******520

The saw on the left I believe is an 034/036. The white plug is the give away on that one.

The one on the right is either an 24 or and older 026. All 024's had the metal wrap handles and so did the early 026's. If you look at the connecting rod on the saw on the right, it will say 1114 if its and 024, and 1121 if its an 026.
I hope this helps,
Brad

Are the serial numbers still on them???? They should be up front by the muffler. The one on the right looks like a 26, it looks like it has one of those skinny minny type hubs for a .325 rim sprocket. I would also measure the piston to see if that would give you a clue.

Brad is an expert on 24/ 26's, the connecting rod would be the last place I would look have to remember that one.

Mange I hope them were freebie's, they have been picked pretty clean, good luck, they for parts or rebuild???

Larry

Is this connecting rod the ror the piston attach to, this dual tek languiage is a bit tricky at times.

Yes, sort of free, they where in the pile, I bought.
There could be serial as well I will post if so.

I will look right away.

Mange.

Here is what i can tell of the left one:
NR: 129673782
Piston is 48 mm wide and 38mm high.
Rod nr: 1125

There is another Engin nr: 113391494, identical to this one as far as I can see with rod nr: 1113

Hope it helps, I just get more confused so really value all help.

Okay, an 024 will have a 42mm wide piston, the other one is probably an 034. the piston on that is 48mm wide. this is going by the IPLs from Gifts of wood.

I just love getting into the technical details to figure out what something is.

Mange,

OSA is correct it sounds like you got the left one pinned at an 034. Did you read the rod number for the one on the right?

# 1125 is usually from 034.

I wasn't paying attention. If it is 48mm then it is an 036 and not an 034.

024 = 42 mm
026 = 44 mm
034 = 46 mm
036 = 48 mm

1121 = 024/026
1125 = 034/036

OK, 036 it is!

Now to the other bastards ;)

There is 10 cases that is identical as far as I can tell:

12805846 (say's 026 on break handle)
112770809
122525103 (say's 026 on break handle)
124555815
12047803
135071204
122543604
132727138 (say's 026 on break handle)
113912892 (say's 024 on break handle)
133794283
