Stihl Model ID

I was giving an older model Stihl I believe it is a 026 or 024. No model number can be found, the serial # 224433900. Is there any way to decipher the model from the serial, i looked online with no luck.

1121, family number of the 024, 026 ,, MS260. with the Supers thrown in for good measure.

OK that is indeed a 024 or 026. Almost all the parts will interchange but not all.

Look at the air filter. The filter for the 024 is much shorter vertically than the 026 filter. If you're not sure , look online for air filters for each model.
