A hack here.

Can you mix some soap & water in a spray bottle
or use a paint brush. With the starter side and top cover off,
spray or brush a little soapy water on the compression relief
then turn the motor over slow until you feel some compression
and check for soap bubbles around the compression relief.
I don't guess the compression relief is stuck?

i do not even us the ^%^$% compression relief
it has always been a beach to use
i would think that i could remove it and plug it with a bolt:blob2:

I would think so.

You can plug it with a specific bolt and washer available from a stihl dealer. Might be hard to match it in a USA hardware store..

Part number 1122 025 2200. About $3.

However, it's not going to change your compression unless the old valve is faulty, which would be unusual.

What is the current compression?

360prob

if i push it down the ^$^$^ compression relief and it stays until i pry it up
:bang: it runs only if the:bowdown: compression relief is not used

Timberrat Decompression Valve

First Thing To Check Is The Valve Sealing Ring Under The Valve To See If It Is Sealing Properly. They Like To Shift Sometimes And Then Won't Seal.

I'd pull the compression release and at least clean it out. It only takes a little piece of carbon to make them leak and have had to deal with that more than once. I personally would just put a bolt in it since you don't use it anyways.
