Ok, as a few of you know I recently acquired a Stihl MS210c. Now that I have figured it out, I really like it. Problem is, I all ready have a 16" Husqvarna 136 that I also really like. I've had that saw for several years and it has been very dependable. I really don't need two limb saws, especially considering I also have two 20" Husqvarna 61's. Now, I know you can never have too many saws, but four may be too many.

If you had a choice, which saw would you go with and why? The saw will only see light use on limbs and such, as the heavier stuff is handled with my 61's. Thanks!

The answer to this must be: Just keep and use them both until you know yourself. You don't have all that much money tied down in them, so it can't hurt to wait with the decision until you're sure yourself.

But you asked what I would have done? Well, the 210, while not a pro quality saw, is still a real Stihl of high quality. The 136 otoh. is not a pro quality saw either, but furthermore, it's not even a "real" Husky quality wise. And since I already have a few Stihls I would pretty easily have chosen the 210.

But then again, you have been satisfied with your 136, then why sell it for an unknown saw if it's not obvious to you that the 210 really is better?

And if you still can't decide, then throw local dealer support for the brands into the pot and stir again. But actually, just use them until you suddenly Just Know.

And 4 saws is by far not to many, it's merely a good start... :biggrinbounce2:

I'd keep 'em both. I have a 41 and a 141 and they've been fun little saws. There are basically the same as your 136, just a little more dispacement. I DO get the feeling that the Stihl might be of slightly higher quality but, frankly, I wouldn't let that sway you...keep the one you like the best.

Also, there are some interesting threads on whether the 36, 136, 41, 141 series is a Husky or a Poulan. I installed a new piston in the 41 the other night and there is a beautiful "Sweden" stamped right on the crankshaft. It may not be a full blown Husky, but it is certainly not a Poulan. That little saw cut $1000 worth of firewood last year and is well on the way to doing it again.

I will say that the additional displacement of the 41/141 kicks it up from a limbing saw to a small firewood saw.

hello I also have used a Husky 141 and also a Stihl 180.Recently I bought a new Husqvarna 346 xp and wow what a difference.I can definatly tell a diff in the 141 and the 346 xp,is like night and day.the others cut good but the 346 is like a light saber in the wood
