Hi, everybody hope everyone is doing well. A customer dropped off a stihl MS 291C chainsaw that needs a new cylinder. Long story short, the muffler bolt hole actually broke away from the cylinder. I priced out the OEM cylinder today, and they told me it was around $500 Canadian just for the cylinder. Certainly, way more than the saw is worth. The customer insisted on an aftermarket piston and cylinder kit despite the fact I told him that sometimes the quality is not very good. But I can't seem to find many rebuild kit options. Lots for the MS 290 but not the 291. Why is that? And is it possible that I can put a 391 top end on it?
Thanks
