Have any of you guys seen the "QCA" on the 361? It says its new for 2007. I guess it must be holding up. I have it on my ms250 and it has worked well really. I can see flipping the bar a little more time consuming but it looks like it is expanding to the pro saws.

I wouldn't want it, as it makes normal maintenance less convenient.....:pumpkin2:

It may also mess up the excellent chip/curlie flow of the 361.

I am not sure if it belongs on a "PRO" saw but am curious if it will do well. The "QCA" must be doing well on the smaller saws for them to expand to the larger saws.

The 361 no doubt is a pro quality saw, but I believe that most are sold to non-pros anyway.

That is probably why they add versions with the QSS and QCA to the line-up.

In Germany, the 70 to 80cc pro models are also offered with QSS, but not QCA (so far).........:sucks: :sucks:

Yes... I have... We had to buy some 361's in that configuration in the storm induced saw shortage period just before Xmas. Pleasantly surprised..

It's actually pretty good and works well. Not at all like its cheaper and smaller brother on the MS180 etc.

I'm happy with the "older" system on my saw though, and wouldn't pay extra for the QA.

I don't think so, if it's not to far away from how the 250 is (in this matter only, yes...) then the adjustment wheel is located more to the top-half of the bar and should be well out of the way for any flow. Only curls doing an 180 inside the clutch cover should have to squeeze it's way past the wheel, and then you're not doing it right anyway.

You may be right, but I am not convinced......:D
