Stihl MS440, MAX RPM's

044 manual says 14,000, 440 13,500, has their been any changes
for the MAX WOT? I have bought a few new saws of as late...but
this new 440 W/DPC, H screw set to the 3/4 turn out, run at 12,500.
200T, 361, 460 and 660 would not go that rich (1000rpm below max), with out cutting
the stop tabs off..........So was the carb set a little rich at factory
or has the MAX WOT changed for the 440?

Mostly I set them 300 to 500 rpm below max

The 440 correct number is 13,500. It can be plus or minus 1000 from this value.

The factory sets the carb using 10% ethanol gas. If you care using non-alcohol gas, the WOT will be lower.
