I'm trying to replace the drive sprocket, I was wondering how to take off the clutch? Do you need a special tool or something? It looks like there is a nut on top of the clucth, but I can't seem to get the nut loose. Any feedback would help?

Which direction are you turning the "nut"? How are you keeping the crankshaft from turning?
If you are switching from 1/4 to 3/8 lo-pro sprocket, you will also need to change the oil drive gear.

i'm turning the nut the direction of the arrow on the clucth, and i'm holding the clucth with a wrench to stop the driveshaft from spinning. I turned the nut both ways, with some lube to try and get it loose, no luck

The 'nut' is integrated into the clutch. By holding the clutch, you are making it impossible to remove. You need to stop the piston from moving in order to keep the crankshaft from turning. Here's how it's done, remove the spark plug and stuff 4 to 6 inches of small rope into the cylinder, make sure you leave some sticking out to get the rope out later. While doing this there is the risk of damage to the starter mechanism when you put it all back together. To avoid starter damage the safest thing to do is remove the starter or you could pull some starter rope out until you are sure the rope you packed in the cylinder is keeping the piston from movine not that you have jammed the starter dogs. This would take 2 minutes to demonstrate but 20 minutes to type.

I really like the rope trick. Another way is buy a plier type oil filter wrench and hold the flywheel with it. I know it's simple but it has worked for me several times.
