Hi, I'm after a used saw in the range of 50cc to 70 cc.
with a 16 to 20" bar would be ideal but happy with just the powerhead.
Seller would also need to be willing to drain fuel and oil tanks to send to Australia please.
my price range is from US$180 to $400 plus postage.
let me know what you have :)

G'day and welcome mate!

I might be able to help you out and save you some postage charges. I fix and sell older saws and also sell brand spankers when i have them. Where abouts in NSW are you?
I just sold last week a Husky 455 with the large bucking spikes. It make a great firewood saw. The bloke i sold it too was just doing firewood collecting with it.

Currently i have several smaller new Husky saws around 50cc for sale. I would have to check but i think they are a 440, 445 and 450? They make great firewood saws.
Also have a shiny new Echo 590 Timberwolf with a 20" bar. It is 60cc and a real nice quality Japanese made saw.
I might be selling a saw or 2 from my sig also. Maybe the 365XT (that has been pimped into a 372XP) and either the 346XP or a Dolmar 5105.

Buying from the US is getting harder all the time. USPS charges have gone up and now, compared to years ago, everyone knows about it and looks for saws. I have been buying from the US for over 12 years and the bargains are gone before i get a chance to bid. Also many sellers refuse to send saws overseas because of the hassles with packaging and post office red tape. Also mainly becasue so many people from Australia bug them constantly to send saws here.

No problem with you trying out a used saw before you buy either. Let me know if i can help you out.

Hi Matt,
Im in Oberon a little east of the Blue mountains
I have done a little searching online and have found that the International shipping from US via ebay for a saw varies from US$60 to 150 and Amazon AUD50 to 80..

Amozon have some good deals(i think?); 460xt for $470 or AUD$523 shipped. or a 450xt for AUD400 shipped.
Amazons prices Is why I decided to try second hand for a cheaper price.

I currently have an old 041av which goes well but its power to weight isn't good. I also lend a family saw which is a husky 55. I think I am after a saw with at least the power of the 55.
I think the 455 probably would have fit =(

some pics would be great mate I have taken interest to your 365 if not the 346 or 450.
Give me a PM with some prices please mate
Cheers

for a low 50cc firewood saw I sure like the closed port 55 I got from you last spring

but if he wants to go bigger it would be a little underpowered...

I was thinking about that saw yesterday and couldn't remember who I sold it to. Yes, a CP 55 is nice, similar power to a 346 OE, but they are pretty hard to find.

She works just fine for me, most trees I cut are 18" or less and the 16" and 20" bar does the job. Mind you its the biggest saw I have so nothing to compare it to but with a good sharp chain really blows the chips!! Not gonna be in a hurry to let her go, no siree...

Yes the 55 is a little underpower for the larger hard wood but it gets the job done. Not sure how to tell if its a closed port.

If you PM murph I will bet he has a saw that will work for you. I daresay he is legendary for his pre owned saws. Do a search and find out for yourself... Russ
