I went to the local dealer in search of a new fuel hose and an impulse hose for my 034 AV and ran into some trouble finding the right hose for the impulse. The catalog the dealer had listed the impulse hose in the IPL but the part number was superceeded by a newer one. Well the new part number was for the fuel line and there was no part number in his system for the impulse hose. Has anybody else had any troubles with bad part number superceeds?

Does anybody have the correct part number for the impulse on the 034?

The part number he came up with was for the molded fuel pickup hose. The one with the goofy bends and the large flange that seals in the top of the tank. I know that isn't right for the impulse.

The straight fuel line is the original, the curvy one is for the newer tanks
On the next parts breakdown, one for the av system, shows a hose, likely
one for the impulse It looks like it is the regular straight fuel line, part #
0000 930 2804

I agree with Fish, the part number for 1 meter of hose is 0000 930 2804, and the IPL says to use 102mm of it for the impulse line.
There are 2 fuel lines listed, one is for older units, the other is for late model units, and the IPL references a bulletin that would tell you which one is correct.
Tell your dealer to take the parts look-up lesson on iCademy so they will know how to look up parts.

The dealer is a Tractor salesman that happens to have a Stihl outfit. I brought him in my old hoses and I pointed to what I wanted on the IPL...He is the one that couldn't figure it out and was very very confused for most of the conversation....I think Im looking for a new dealer

You can use a similar I.D. generic rubber hose for the impulse, just cut it to the correct length. Tygon or Vinyl tubing does NOT work in an impulse application because it does not resist heat the way modern rubber does.
