Hey all, just joined up i got a question about my new saw figured id try this out see if anyone else has come across this before.
My saw is a new stihl ms441, bought it last spring. Been fine till 2 weeks ago, was starting to rev really high and staying there even with the idle turned right down and low speed jet.
Its not suckin air through the carb boot nor is it the crank seals did some tests. Before i take the weirdest carb ive seen on a chainsaw off and apart with its many retarded linkages and springs, anyone else experience this> If i point the saw in the air it slowly gains revs, then i point it at the ground right away and it stops and idles. Fuel problems> starving perhaps and leaning out when pointed in the air?? i can give it short bursts of gas and it idles fine, if held wfo for 5 seconds then let off its still about 1/4 way into its powerband chain justa flyin still.
used it for logging the last 4 months and its outa commision now, have been resortin to my old faithful 365 specials.
