I had a pair like that, comfy, good traction, didn't wear that good. Had to get new boots after about 6 months.

JUNK!!!! I had it out with Stihl and my dealer I bought them from. Wet feet since the soles split. Lining inside is comfy till it starts to fall apart and plastic parts start cutting your feet. I have my suspicions on who makes them for Stihl and I thought they were a high quality boot builder. This particular model is a POS and Stihl won't stand behind this particular product.
I hope you have better luck and they made some major quality changes.

gemplers

gemplers, has a good saw boot.steel toe and shank, kevlar sides.215$.kenny

Heavy and way overpriced. Cut out the middle man and just get the carolinas which is who I think made them. Local stihl dealer bought a pair and tried giving them to me and I wouldn't take em. Now stihl does make some landscaping boots that are the cats rear.

Bought mine for 285. Way too much. The inside came out before the boot was broke in. The steel toe wore through the inside before the boot was broke in. Everything came apart before the boot was broke in. I will never buy another pair.:censored:

ProMark Boots not what they once were.

I owned a pair of Stihl branded logging boots that were purchased sometime around 2001, and I wore them for 7 years, including 1 year working on a towboat(don't ask) and another 5 years in tree service, before they finally wore out. I tried to get them fixed, but they were too far gone (but still comfortable). In 2010, I decided to invest the $350 in another pair at my local Stihl dealership, and within a week, the insoles were sliding around, like they used water-soluble glue. I had them replaced 2 more times with similar results, though otherwise the boots were fine for constant ground work and occasional climbing. After receiving the third pair, I was into our busy season and didn't have time to mess around with replacing them again (big mistake). Besides the displaced insoles they were fine for about 10 months, then all of a sudden I had this feeling like a rock was in my boot. I took the boot off and turned it upside down and a 4 inch piece of rusty, corrugated metal fell out (the steel shank). Needless to say, I was furious, and immediately took them back and am waiting on the verdict. I have since bought a $150 pair of redwings, that are great, so far, though minus the kevlar.

A little over $300

wow Did the the dealer hold a gun on you to pay that much. That is crazy to pay that much for a pair of boots. Sthil must be making a killing with a mark-up like that. It doesn't surprize me though.

I used to wear Red Wings till I felt the quaility just wasn't there anymore. I was lucky to get a year out them. I have gotten just as much mileage from Walmart boots as I did from the Red Wings. Actually I have gotten more mileage from the cheap Walmart boots.

I had a pair, they didn't last that long. I am used to paying $300+ for good boots, so I expected the same quality out of the Stihls that I got from my Klimas and Haix boots.

The steel shank fell out of each boot long before the soles broke and the seams ripped, rendering them worthless for spiking. I don't think I got a year out of them.

Sorry, I hope you get better wear outta yours.

i saw some at the dealers.

Look like junk.

The Hoffmans from Bailey's are way better for less money and made in the USA. I LOVE MINE! Will be buying a pair of the hikers now that im climbing in the south.
