Canada only. All those hosers probably already got a flyer in the mail.
Last week, I got a check for $20 (made out to the dealer where I bought my 2 saws) from Stihl to put towards purchase of a saw or other Stihl product. It expires June 30, I believe. It also stated in the letter that came with it that it is transferable and I could could give it to someone else if I wasn't going to use it.

I guess my dealer didn't get that memo. That tight wad has to sleep on it just to give ya an extra chain and ten bucks off of saws $500 and over, if its under 5 forget it he'll give ya 50% of chains and oil. Never a free hat. I did happen upon a dealer who had a saw in stock my buddy was looking for and without asking threw in a case, bottle of oil and chain and a HAT and shirt without asking, of course it was a 460 but the dealer is also much farther away.

The one I received was from Stihl but the dealer initiated it. That is, the dealer paid Stihl (how much, ????) for the coupons. The dealer designated who the coupons went to (their better customers???? (dealers out there will correct me if I'm wrong)). I guess it was their way to stimulate business. It worked on me in that I bought a blower. Mine was only good until the first week in June and of course, only good at that dealer and yes, they are transferable in that my name was not on the voucher.
Hmmm, they did say they were waiting to see if anyone turned theirs in since they couldn't use it. Gotta go over and see if there's money laying around.

Here is the flyer we received recently. No mention of free cases or hats, just some sale pricing.
Strangely no mention of the MS290, it has been their posterchild in these flyers.

Actually, the last hat I was offered was if I bought a John Deere tractor. Being a bald guy, the hat was enticing but not quite enough to get me to buy another green machine. At the same dealer, I was offered no special deals on Stihl saws, and they wouldn't sell me a saw with a yellow chain either. 
I only buy Stihl Ultra there because my regular dealer doesn't carry it...yet.

Over here Stihl are offering the carry case, gloves, muffs and a cap on the Farm Boss range (MS210 through 390)
And to give you an idea how good you have it in NA, the MS361 goes for A$1399 (US$1200) and the 441 for A$1749 (US$1400) and the venerable 381 a paltry A$1249 (US$1000.00)
Stihl are pushing hard ATM (it's firewood season) with the Farm Boss ad as a footer on the front page, and a full page ad on the back of The Land weekly rural newspaper with those 'sale' prices.......

I got a "free" hat for each of my new Stihl saw purchases. Cammo one was the hardest to get.

Well, look at the bright side. We cannot buy a 381 here at all. Yes, we are spoiled rotten with cheap saw prices in the USA. Many still complain about US saw prices here on AS though.
