I've seen Stihl Rapid Micro X ripping chain mentioned on Stihl boxes and in their German catalog, but have never actually seen what it looks like. Has anyone seen or used Stihl's ripping chain? If so how would you rate it compared to the Granberg type or the Oregon type?

I'm also wondering why Stihl didn't use their Rapid Super as a base for their ripping chain instead of the Rapid Micro?

Same question for the Picco Micro X ripping chain.

I dont know why they dont use some types of chain instead of what they did use as a base for their ripping chains. I wouldnt know how it would compare to Granberg chains either because I make my own milling chains from lp chain. I never have ordered a ripping chain from anyone for a saw yet.

95r

Has anyone tried the Oregon 95R? It appears to be the same as Oregon Micor Chisel. This seems like it might be a good compromise between a semi-chisel and full chisel chain. Its got a much smaller radius between the top and side plate than a full chisel, but not near as large as a semi chisel.

Oh yeah it’s a .325 chain.
