Hi There, Rotax Robert, with the help of Clearwater Clem, puffed the cylinder on Beer can Bob's 088.
Anyway, I called my dealer and the cheapest it is for a cyl. is 450CDN. May as well buy a new saw.
Anyway, does anyone have one out there to help Robert out?
He needs it for an upcoming race. Used is fine if not cooked.
John

Rotax Robert here...Was up till 3 am cleaning the JB-weld out of the top of my exhaust port on my 088. That being done and with the ample amount of aluminium around the clearwater area I was able to get an excellent job of welding done by a local magician in the area. Built a new pipe this morning and got great results, We now have a saw that actually cuts great. No need for the new head now, but thanks for looking.

Hey Robert, your starting to sound like you cant wait to get back home. I cant blame you after Dennis has run every saw you own into the ground.
Now listen up Buddy, and listen up good, dont, and I repeat dont let Dennis get his hads on the Pred!

Rotax Robert here, I don't think Dennis can handle the Predator.
Looks like his wrist gave out just pulling a few up-cuts with the Rotax. He woke up this morning with a serious case of Rotax Wrist.

Roberts rotax

hello john,
now dont be so hard on dennis. that rotax is about 200 cc's to big for dennis. besides they have had a bad week fixing all the problems on roberts 088 barrel. I offered to send them one of my modified barrels and a removable cylinder head off of one of my 084 stihls but havent heard from them yet. now if we could fit a 3120 barrel and head to that 088 we could probably get it to run fairly well. Enclosed a picture of one of my 084 stihl stock saws

solo 651

hello robert,
The solo's are darn good saws. Their porting figures are about 1/2 way in between a stock husky or stihl and what dennis and I set the ports for a good woods saw. If dennis modified your barrel it should run very strong. the solo 680 is the saw everyone trys to find to hop up for the 5 cube class down here in calif. they pump out stock 1 hp more than the 281 husky or the 056 stihl. they are all 5 cube saws but the solo 680 almost always win the 5 cube class

p.s.
All you need is a pipe for that craftsman 651

Hey Robert, dont listen to Ken, he hasnt a clue what he is talking about. The Solo's are incredably good saws. The only problem is that the port timing is about halfway between the stock Husky and Stihls. If Dennis modified your barrel, you better go south west of the Canadian border, deep into Oroville Calif. if you want it done right. The Solo 680 is the one to get your hands on.
