That is actually a 08S, 60 cc saw. Looks to be in good condition appearance wise. I have one and did a little milling with it when I first got into milling, they are slow but do have a little torque to them. 300 bucks seems a little steep to me.

That's an old climber saw. Maybe not great at $300. I saw an 075 (111cc) sell on ebay today for $265. I was thinking about bidding, probably should have, but didn't. I messaged the seller & they said it starts & runs great. Somebody got a good old saw. Point being, if you're gonna buy old, buy big. Those top handle saws seem to sell well and command a good price, so that might be a fair deal. But for $300 I think you could get bigger & newer.

I hit confirm bid with 3 seconds left. Guy got me. I wanted that 075. Great price

LOL Yeah I was watching that. All bids came in the last 5 seconds. I would have lost it, too, because i'd have only bid $230. Best bet would have been bid the price you are willing to pay, and if you are the only bidder then you get it cheap, but if you get outbid then it's because somebody wanted it more than you.

Hey There - there is a Stihl 080 for 300$ - looks old - wondering how old and what everyone thinks about the saw and the price.

Thanks Fellas

That dude is like the Volkswagon beetle of the saw world.
It has been the powerhead for countless applications through the years.
The only design longer lived is the Contra 090 070, pretty sure the 070 is still in production.
Could be the 08 is also?
