I bought a rope puller and 200ft of three strand. My question is how do I store the rope? I started out coiling it into a 5 gallon bucket but I got more rope than bucket.

There is likely a right way to coil my rope up. How should I do it?

Thanks,

Szumi

Go to the thrift store and buy a duffel bag or even a large nylon suitcase. You can get them for a few dollars and they work as good as a rope bag.

Today when I was done I managed to get all 200' into the crate. It will do until I buy a rope bag. Thanks!

I use milk crates, some even are the 6 gallon type. I can get 150ft. of 5/8 rope in a six gallon crate easily. I've got eight 6 gallon crates in use presently.

I've also got one rope bag and much prefer flaking rope into a crate.
