This was from a storm that hit our area 2 weeks ago (was done last week) unable to climb it due to its integrity and had multiple large hangers just hanging on by hardly anything. Couldn't get a bucket truck in and crane wouldn't reach. Plan C hired out a company an hour away to come down with the only 1 of 2 Teupen spider lifts in Canada. What an amazing piece of machinery! We had the tree down, chipped cut up in 4.5 hrs. Other companies told the owner they would be 2 days just getting the tree down. Hmmmm talk about non productive! Anyways things went smooth as they could. Oh yeah, one of the back leaders went out over an active railway track and was over 3 phase old CN utility lines, inactive but still couldn't bomb stuff down on them!

one of the local companies here had one of those lifts. it was cool. too bad i never got to play with it

Honestly after running a bucket truck for a while this thing is 100% better, more efficient and just overall awesome! Even though the price of these machines are steep, they are well worth the $. I am putting a lift into my business plan, might not be a Teupen but don't think I will buy a bucket truck again. :msp_thumbup:

They wanted the stump left like that. I cut it level where the 3 leaders were. The guy in the wife beater is the owners son.

I would have been too nervous to setup the leg right underneath that log or setup anywhere close to a tree like that as expensive as those things are.
