What type of grinder teeth would you put on a small 20 hp grinder, Green teeth (700 deep), rayco super teeth, other? I am looking at putting them on a dosko 691, comparable to a rayco 20hd.

I switched from the standard vermeer super teeth on my sc252 to greenteeth about 3 years back. At the time, greenteeth recommended the 1100 tooth - way too big but I still run them (and keep them very sharp) because I don't use my machine that much and don't want to spend the $400to downsize to the 700 size which they now recommend for a 25hp machine.

I love the ease of changing greenteeth. I would never go back to the standard vermeer teeth. Maybe the new yellowjacket teeth are better since they change out like the greenteeth. I would think the 700 or even 500 series greenteeth would serve you well.

Others rave about the sandvik wheel but, you have to change over the entire wheel so, it would probably cost you more.

If you've caught any of the old threads about what teeth to run, you've probably read a number of posts about bearing wear due to tooth setup. I am not seeing any excess wear to my sc252 - even running the big greenteeth on it. I still use the autosweep on my machine and always run sharp teeth. As soon as they loose their edge, I switch them over to my larger 665a tow behind which runs the same tooth. IMO, greenteeth are a very good setup.
