Yet, i have to wonder why would anyone want to run 3/8 on 200t....

3/8 050 is picco as far as know... that's what I run.

Blis, what are you running? 404? :ices_rofl: .... seriously though.

I dont believe they make a bar to match the oiler. Why would you want to run a chain that big? Most guys run the 3/8PM or even the 3/8 PMN

3/8" .050 could be either Picco/low profile, or ordinary 3/8.

The drive tangs are different in shape, so I don't believe the sprocket on the MS200 will work well with ordinary 3/8" chain.

It would probably bog the saw down far too easy anyway, so there is no point trying......;)

On the other side, it isn't that unusual to run 3/8" Picco on the 066/660, but it does require special sprockets, and bars with different nose sprockets (Logosol). The normal chain with that combo is the PMX ripping chain.

My Dad still runs that damn 1/4" pitch chain on his 020's. It does cut smoother than the 3/8 low profile stuff. But it is a pita to sharpen, a loop for a 14" bar has 72 drivers.
I use the 3/8 picco (not the narrow crap) on my 192T, works good.

3/8 Picco Micro is the only shipped chain/bar combo in the USA on the 200t.

Some guys have run the PMN (Narrow version of the Picco Micro), but it's not offically rated for the 200T.

1/4 inch for use with carving bars has just been released.

The 0.325 sprocket is listed but is not available in the USA).

I'm planning on ordering some chain and making up my own loops. I didn't want to get 2 different rolls of chain, and I got to wondering if the 200t could pull the full sized chain or not. I didnt think it would. So I have decided to just buy a 25' roll of stuff for the 200t, and a 100' roll for the 460

The Husky 339xp and 336 are sold with .325 NK setup here, I find it pretty odd that Stihl doesn't offer such a setup....:pumpkin2:

It would probably be very nice on the MS200, 210, 230 and 250 - maybe even on the 260.....

The 339xp should be availiable in the US by now......:)

I believe that you "need" one. :taped:

339xp

I dont like the 339xp, its too long and slim... feels awkward...

Didn't you notice all read handled saws are 16" long? Works great for checking firewood length for those times you want to be just right.
The 339 has nice big handles, it is very nice to use.
The look of the saw is a big stumbling block for sales. People think it's ugly and different. That's too bad, because it works awesome, and thats what matters.
When a customer watches me run mine, they always ask about it and want to pick it up. They can't believe something so small, light, and funny looking cuts so fast!
