Today i broke the throttle cable on my vermeer stump grinder 252..i rang the vermeer dealer up and i asked for a new throttle cable after giving them all the relavant numbers the dealer said i'll have to ring you back with a price he rang up KHOLER as this is the engine i have on this machine..any way few minutes past and he rang me back ..aparently KOHLER wont or dont sell individual cables you have to buy a whole lot of stuff you dont need they call it a kit it includes choke cable ,throttle cable and a whole lot of lron mongery that i don't need..ALL I WANT IS A THROTTLE CABLE..the kit costs £48 + delivery now that SUCKS

I don't know about the UK but over here hardware stores and small engine shops carry "Universal" cable assemblies. They cost $8-$15 US. They aren't very difficult to fit up to various engines.

I agree with Stumper. Here we can buy any size cable we need. Most shops will custom make it while you wait.

most motorcycle shops can do them to, 48 quids a heap for a throttle cable!
