The 019T unclipped itself from my saddle and jumped out of a tree onto a rock today. I had been cussin' it for a leaking gas cap and muttering about getting a Husky 335 cali spcl. I guess that with the inferiority complex that 019's have from constant belittling from climbers who prefer the 020T/ms200, my own comments pushed it over the edge.
It survived unscathed! I picked her up and looked her over patted her reassuringly and put her back to work.

How are you attaching it to your saddle? I dropped an 020 and 335 before I figured out I needed to flip the nonlocking biner over (opposite of the picture on page 21 of Sherrills 2002 catalog) on my master 2 saddle. If you install the biner like shown in the picture a saw lanyard or the ring on the 020 will ride down the gate until it hits the bend and unclip dropping the saw to the ground.

Did she successfully fix her own gas cap for you?  I think you'll find that's what her intention was.

No telling what she might be capable of if you ever make her mad... (hope her name's not Lorena)

My saw lanyard terminates with a utility snap identical to the ones on a Weaver saddle. I have the snap and a steel ring spliced into the end of the lanyard and attach the snap to the fold up loop on the saw and then snap the the saddle snap onto the ring. I was in a tangled up mess of a locust and was fighting to get the ring snapped onto the saddle so I could clear some of the hanging junk out. the bar had hung on some of the trash and I guess it "rolled out" of the snap.

glens, You got it! She finished the job on the gas that was in her and leaked nary a drop. Her name ain't Lorena-and most importantly the family name isn't Bobbitt!;)
