I would be looking to find out specifically where it is made as in country of origin. 20 year limited Warranty be reading the fineprint- and finding out if they have even been around that long. Advertising is cheap - marketing bends everthing to the max. 2.1CF might as well get an Englander NC13- tried and true built state side Quality people.

Specs say 7-9 hour burn time. A quick check of the BTU rating did not reveal if the efficiency rating was conducted per any specification (like HHV) or not. Could be a gamble compared to a more reputable company at the same price..?

Thanksfor the replys gents. This is my approximate pricepoint ($1200). I have also been looking at lopi and enerzone stoves. Ive not had any experience with the englander, but i have heard a lot of people happy witht hem. Whats the story there?

That also seems to be the only wood stove in their line. What are your specifics that you are trying to achieve? How much area? 2 story? and on and on

Yeah i noticed that as well. 1600 sq ft ranch, stove will be fairly centrally located with open halls to rest of the house. It seems like the nc-13 would be a good fit. Just thought that for $650 these days it would be a tin can.

Got similar advice over on the other, other forum haha. Either of these will allow me to use the home depot card and take advantage of free interest and a year to pay which would be rad.
