So I had carpal tunnel surgery last friday. Like I heard on here it was nothing to worry about. The cute nurses kept my attention off what the Doc was doing. I have been driving my family nuts. They have all been trying to help me do everything, and I am stubborn and pig headed enough to want to do it myself.
Ok, eating, writing and typing on the comp left handed sucks. Getting dressed has been an adventure. You should all try it once. Gives you a new perspective and you gain real appreciation for that other hand.
I got the bandage/cast off today. First time I could scratch in 5 days. OMFG that felt so much better. Just a brace for now. I get the stitches out next friday.
The worst part is that I am going stir crazy sitting around the house. I went to work for a couple hours today. Raking 1 handed, that was interesting. Dragging branches. You know. schlep work. I feel a little better. I actually got to work. WOOT
I have to say that all in all it is definitely worth it. My hand hasn't fallen asleep once and none of my fingers have locked up. If any of you are contemplating the surgery, get it done. Just make sure the nurses are pretty.
