Doing well here. Just bought a nice used bucket and it's been a great help. Been working 7 days, alot of it has to do with a big ice storm that made a mess back in dec though. Mike

thought last winter (07-08) was the worst ive been through yet but 08-09 was worse. Was real suprised by the turn around in the last 2 weeks. Way busier than it was this time last year. Still a lot of shoppers tho... :jawdrop:

Birmingham is not doing so well. Getting under bid by scrubs daily (Out of work hacks with a truck). Still have my steady base of customers, but no big hits. Guess this is new to all you guys from up north?

There appears to be a bit of back stabbing going on up in my part of the world. I have seen several NEW people is the biz too! LMAO I guess we shouldn't have made it (tree work) look so easy! The newbies are popping up everywhere.

I am glad I am NOT carrying any debt on equipment, that would really suck.

Newbies can be one of two things. One= a guy who has done the work, but has no idea of insurance, taxes, labor guys, etc, that is trying to break into it on his own. I respect that. I did the same thing years ago. Two= a total hack, who had his girlfriend convince him that he is WAY TOO VALUABLE. This guy is the one I want to cut. He has knowledge of the tree, but none of anything else. Thinks that a $750 job, he's entitled to $300 of it. Give me a break.
