It's a Gierkink GMT 035 Felling Grapple like this one. IMG_0115.JPG IMG_0120.JPG IMG_0122.JPG IMG_0143.JPG
Do a search for Gierkink GMT 035. You'll find lots of Youtube videos on them.
I purchased mine a few months ago and use it for felling timber.
You'll notice that in the last picture that the rotator has been replaced with a larger one with endless rotation, no hoses in the way. I had to increase the hose size on the loader/crane for the saw function to work well so the larger rotator is a must have.
I use the GMT 035 in tandem with the PATU 40LF delimber.
Makes a nice efficient combination for felling and delimbing smaller timber.

It does have a tilt function. I'm sure it's operated in the same manner as any dangle head machine. Which is to say its a lot like what you would do with a chainsaw.

Ok. Thats kind of cool then. I've always envisioned a machine between a processor and a forwarder. You would cut and skid with the same machine.

You thinking of a Harwarder? I think Ponsse makes them?
