I just got a 200' 9/16 rigging rope , how do you store it in or on your bucket, it gets tangled , and hard to work with , any info or picture's, thanks

If you have a bucket, just flake it into the bucket randomly, packing it down lightly from time to time. It should come out cleanly with no tangles.

:agree2:

I tie a knot in the end so that the end stays on top. If you pull the end back through some loops when you go to take it out you can have a bit of a tangle. But otherwise it seems to work flawless in both my bull ropes. (And I flake them into the same bin together.)

Same thing with my climbing lines, although I use bags.

When you say bucket do you mean a water carrying pail or an EWP? Interesting difference in technique required depending on the answer. :)

Is the rope being used in a friction device like a porta wrap? If so it will tend to curl on itself and will need to be "flaked" into a rope bag whilst you remove the twist. I find this job is best done with a helper standing a few metres away. One to twist the rope to remove the "coiling" effect and the other to feed the rope thoughr his/her hands into the bag.

I just coil mine up in my left hand all tangle free and when I need it again I open it up and lay it on the ground and it never tangles up, there is an art or technique to coiling ropes for tangle free use, maybe I'll make a video.
