Now I did admit last time that my Mac 610 was ugly but you guys have to keep rubbing it in. I have fixed my 610 so I dont have to be embarassed to be seen in public with it any more, see pic.

okay i'll ask the question... can it cut its way out of that bag?

My grandad had one of the professional Mac climbing saws, still sits in my grandma's shed...it runs great, but has a cracked clutch/drum. I wanted it but I need a non running saw like a hole in the head...but back on topic..I think early Macs were awesome, the ones they made right before Chapter 11 like my 3200 were pretty crappy. My grandad asked his to do stuff most of us wouldn't ask of an 009 or 017 or other small quality saw and it performed. It looks like a climbing saw but pre chain brake...how old is that 610...if it's an old one it's probably pretty awesome!

The PM 610, is one of the most rugged saws I've seen lately, considering its not a pro model. not even semi pro. just built with the same quality as a modern pro saw, but uglier and heavier.

it reminds me of my ex. fat and ugly. the saw is actually better than that though. it may be ugly, and heavy, but more reliable, and I can honestly say I'd take the saw first.

Yes but perhaps it is safe to remember that they can both cut you at the most unexpected moments...
