Thanks to 04ultra, I fixed my saw today.

My MS250 (yes I know, plastic saw, but a real runner) stopped oiling, 04 had sent me the workshop manual some time ago.
I printed off the relevant pages and went through everything (except taking out the oil pump) drained the tank,cleaned the vent, removed and inspected the filter and hose, checked the worm drive..no drama, and VOILA, it's working again!!!:greenchainsaw:
