Have been working all week on removing 5. 1/2 mile shelterbelts. The landowner originally told me it was oak, well it turned out to be Mulberry. The Dolmar 7900 hasnt missed a lick. Over 140 trees from 10-24 inches are down and logged out. at least that many more to go. I will then start the work of splitting and hauling the wood the 17 miles to my home. The only fatality I had was one chain broke a tie strap. Couldnt make the saw even grunt. THANKS TONY!! I think my next smaller saw will be a Dolmar also, hmmm...which shall it be?????

If you can hold off until the PS5000 comes out, I don't think you'll be dissapointed with it for a 50cc saw. The PS540 is a very nice handling saw, one that is just fun to use, but it doesn't quite do it for me power wise, at least in stock form. The PS401 is a little monster for no more than it weighs, but that's down to the 40cc class.

Dolmar PS401

I just bought a PS401 from Tony Miller and it is a great little saw.It comes with a 40cc motor and 16'' cutter bar and 3/8 LP chain on it.I use it for cutting dry limbs and I have cut yellow pine 16'' thick and have had no problems with it.It does have good power and torque for a 40cc engine.I am very happy with it.Thanks Tony
