Want to thank all you guys for the discussions on here...I've done a few climbing jobs now without killing myself...trimmrd out an 80' scaly bark yesterday..feels good to do it right.

I've settled on SRT using a distel hitch advanced by a Fixe pulley for an etrier, and a Petzl Ascension ascender (more comfy for me than a hitch I guess.) and a rescue eight to dive out of the tree on..Bucky saddle..

I'd like to start on grigri descender some time..maybe later.

I'm not doing much heavy work..don't have the equipment for it,
but I'm helping some folks out and filling up my woodshed without
too much strain and putting a couple dollars in the pocket..and leaving the
hard technical stuff to those more experienced..but I love it every time I get in a tree.

Guy painting a house I worked Sunday said, " Man, you're crazy!"

"Yep, sure am."

It's not helpful when you step on the throwline and the wife is watching...oops. :censored:

Full wrap 660.

Just kidding..192T...wish I had $$$ for a 300..buuuttt....

good work.

RADS with a GriGri is a good set-up, with an emergency exit set in place.

Be sure to use a secondary tie-in, as its sooo potentially easy to knick your fully tensioned line and go south before you know it.
