If that was real that would bother me. If it was funny it wouldnt bother but that just looks plain dumb.

but thats not real its a spoof

Man he must need $$$$ bad!! although you gotta give him props......the awareness it will generate cant be all that bad!

LXT.............

It's a spoof thank god. Pretty funny too. Tim Allen, along with that site, Funny or Die, made that trailer to make fun of all of his silly movies. He always goes under some kind of strange transformation in his movies, so he had a sense of humor about it and made this. I cracked up once I learned the truth. Google it.

damn it!

the chick playing his wife was hot!

i wanted to watch her for an hour and a half while eating stale artery clogging popcorn.

There is a real movie out there called "Mr. Sycamore." It was put down by everyone who reviewed it, and it bombed at the box office, but I really liked it when I saw it, as a younger guy, over thirty years ago. I guess the arborist was in me, even back then. If any of you get a chance, check it out and let me know what you think.

paper or plastic

I could watch that movie a dozen times, but can guarantee that when it comes to butt wipe I'll still prefer paper over plastic. You see, the tree to make the paper is a renewable resource; the oil to make the plastic not so much...

Speaking of attachments to trees

I don't like old American Elms, much. Here in Austin they are all reaching the end of their lives at about the same time and they are hazard trees that can be tricky to take out, as they have such a wide spread over neighboring properties. Tuesday we'll be doing a lift removal on one, and it could get very interesting, especially if the temperature down here doesn't head back up, by then. As I type this, it's 19 degrees outside and the wind is blowing. Nothing like brittle big wood in frigid temperatures as many of you guys up north know all too well.

I do feel for the guy in the story, above. I do know how it feels to really like a tree and then see it fail, over time. I also know how it feels to view your own mortality against that of another living thing's. It does give you pause to think.
