When I was a younger person in my teens, I remember a mysterious saw in the back of the barn up high on a shelf. so i pulled it down and looked at it. Here it was an 090. It belonged to my father who did some felling back in his younger days. he picked this beast up at a tool rental in the late 70's. the guy that owned the tool rental said it was just too big of a saw and no one wanted to rent it or was afraid of it. so the guy sold it to my pop for an ammount I don't remember. Now keep in mind at the time i found this marvel of a machine, I had no idea what it "was" . Any how my dad had no use for the saw and myself not knowing what it was, he traded it to an old friend of his for some gravely gear reduction wheels.:buttkick: He's talked about going to see this old friend of his, maybe we should have something to make a trade back?? ;)

90

Well my friend, I have an absolute jewel of a 90 That I'm tuning and repainting. I posted some pics and screwed it up a bunch, but one thread works and there a pics of her before I took her into the shop today for a tune up and re-paint. They are great saws. Heavy, but if you run saw for a living, not bad, especially if got one ounce of backbone....

No BS here

Nothing against you BC Logger...(I lived on the border for three years and used visit your Fraiser River Valley, but never fished it...I got respect. Very nice place) But, if you gots the Salmon in the freezer, there is not a myth, but a TRUE STORY. Hell, I don't know, why would you need an 090 in Ohio...EH? Oregon, Washington, British Columbia, ya...a different animal. Where the damn things were made for.

The one that got away

Speaking of the one that got away.

When I was 13 I needed a motor for a mini-bike. We were visiting my uncle 1000 miles away. He gave me a 3.5 briggs and a small strange looking 2 stroke motor. He told me I wanted to use that funny little cart (more hp and less weight) motor but I hadn't developed any welding skills yet anyway. My dad said "only room for one in the car", so being 13, I of course loaded the Briggs & Scrap Iron in the trunk and away we went.

I now have three saw chassis that it would fit and my uncle cant remember what ever happened to that 101 motor????????????

I guess I did get a couple of years out of the briggs though.
