My splitter was under water during the big flood.
I went out to move it and could see it had been under water during the floods the other day.
Spent several hours draining both the hydraulic and motor oils and change the filter.
No sign of any water getting in.
I'm sure many of you have heard of the huge flooding going on down in the Houston area.
I live just north of there and I had 6" of water in the house.
Water was wast deep or better in the yard.
On the positive note, I started pumping and bailing just as soon as the water started coming in.
Thankfully the water went back down in about 6 hours and with shop vacks and fans, I had all the standing water out in a few hours after it went down.
I turned on the AC to help pull moisture out and have been running fans for almost 3 days.
Tile floors did great. but the wood floor shows signs of very slight raising of the grain at all the seems.
I think the wood floor is going to survive.
It survived the flood during Alison. But I also had the water out in a few hours after it came in.
We had 20"+ of rain in about a 6 hour span.
Makes me feel lucky and sad for those that lost everything.
