I thought it would be interesting to see what the going rates were in different locations around the globe.

Firewood, we get $170 a cord delivered to residential customers, make approx $365 a cord by the wheelbarrow load (basically a bundle) delivered to campgrounds, $50-$80 hour for boom truck rental with operator, and all tree jobs are bid however I try to get in the $60-$80 hour for each job after paying employees.

i charge £80, thats about $140 i think, for 2 cubic meters of split firewood

We don't have much in the way of firewood here, but boom truck w/operators run $110-125 an hour with a 4 hour min. Most guys also charge from the time the truck leaves their yard to the time it gets back. If the jobsite is far away, you can easily lose 2 hours in driving time.

Our target rate is $75/man hour. That includes all normal equipment, Bucket truck, & chipper.

i charge 11 shilling's an hour..Bob who own's one of them there chainsaws charge's a whole guinea a day ... i did hear that someone around here charge's thropence hapeny an hour that includes a donkey :blob2: bloody low-baller

I believe a cord is equal to 128 cubic ft

And 128 cubic ft is equal to 3.62 cubic metres

So in Brisbane Australia we get around $70 a cubic metre. But there's not much of a market for it, hardly anyone burns, and all new built housing is prohibited from having fire places etc ... it's a dying market. But nearly everyone has an airconditioner.

i think we charge $60 a man hour (usually between 2 and 4 men), plus $180 per hour of driving truck and chipper. min. of $250 per call. that is just tree removal and such. if we do not remove brush and rake, then usually $50 less. stump gringing is extra $75 (bewtween 1" and 7") plus $15? for each additional inch over 8".
pruning small trees, i believe we have slightly lower rates because less chance of injury and less guys on each call.
i am new to this, but my goal is to be doing estimates near the end of the year when i have more experience and can better guess how long jobs will take. i am not entirely sure of all this, but i believe this is our going rate.
