Here's a shot of Dan Henry securing the Lathe. It was a wonderful New Jersey day of rain.

Our intention was to run the 2100 Dan built for me against the 2100 Mike Rupley built. As you know they are both good builders.

We ran into a few snags. First it was raining like hell all day. I started the Dan Henry 2100 and made a few cuts and the saw kicked ass. By my standards, as you know I am no timber tramp or wood hick but I could feel the saw had plenty of power to spare. We did not time any of the cuts.

When it came time to fire up the Mike Rupley 2100 it wouldn't start. Not even a sputter. If I was to compare the 2 against each other the Dan Henry saw Has plenty under the orange hood to out do the Rupley 2100.

One thing I had installed was the Stihl Elasto Handle. Here's a shot of the chainsaw Geek with the Dan Henry 2100. I bucked about a half cord with the saw.

One thing I liked about the Dan Henry Muffler was the fins he cut in the front. You see where I cut I am always under inspection to make sure my crew is up to snuff on there safety gear.

Here's a shot of the Mike Rupley Muffler. As you can see here this saw won't be cutting on Federal Land.

I always make sure my crew has their paper work up to date. Here I am giving driving lessons to my head sawyer.

I didn't see you taking the pictures of me when I was strapping down the Lathe but that's OK.You didn't see me take the R 2100 or your Husky 357 when you had your back turned.I promise you that I will return your 357 but it may have some slight power gains.
I also wanted to thank you for the good time that I had with you.Not only did Mark give me that Lathe, complete with tooling but he also took my son and I out for dinner. He picked up the tab, wouldn't let me pay for anything. How many people would give you a Lathe and also buy your dinner for you?
Later
Dan
