The last steam powered sawmill in the u.s.

If any of you guys get a chance to go to Oregon, go and see the last commercial steam powered sawmill in the U.S. It is located in Monroe, Oregon. This is truely a great experience to see and tours are on Tuesdays and Thursdays. These boys specialize in sawing Doug fir up to 85' in length. The name of the mill is Hull-Oakes Lumber Co. 541-424-3112.

there's one here

My boss has one but it isn't set up yet. Got all the parts though. He wants to get it set up so he can recreate when he was a young boy and his dad ran a steam sawmill. It's neat looking, the boiler part looks just like an old timey locomotive, kinda sorta. I want to see it run..but the first time from maybe a quarter mile away using binoculars...he can have all that fun...
