I purchased this saw new last year to cut down a few pines on my property. I haven't used it since. Whats a good asking price for lightly used MS361?

stop thinkin and just donate it to the get well soon club........

i been feelin a little sick lately and the postmaster tellin me i got a new saw in the mailbox would make me feel better............

i think me payin shipping would be good therapy........

Good for you...or good for the buyer?;)

Both I guess. I paid over $700 between the saw, chaps, and chisel chain. I would include all with the saw. I was thinking $500 would be a good price... Thought?

Ohhhh Nooooo

I can understand selling the 361  I had thought of building a woods 361 till I compared them to my woods 357, The husky was 2 secs faster (with begley at the helm) in 2 cuts then the modded 361's.
Decided I might sale the good running stock 361 with muffler mod only that nipped at the heals of the other modded 361's or just leave it stock and keep it or it will have to get a full race build.:D only time will tell. :D
60cc class and down
9" poplar, one down one up

R-woods 357 5.15
C-woods 357 5.62
C-stock 361 7.25
B-woods 361 7.12
I-woods 361 13.30 pushing to hard in cuts.

Trade?

Hey Stihl Crazy, wanna trade for my old 021?

That is impressive cutting! What kind of wood is that?

Shawn

Hi Cut4fun, will that 357 cut with this woods port 361? 3.65 sec for 2 cuts.

I would say nope. running pump gas and a work chain like I used at the gtg mine would never turn that kind of time. I dont think it has got below a even 4 sec in 8x8 poplar yet either.
So what was the wood type and size? and appears to be a GOOD chain making them cuts. I know the cold start 361 alkys are in the 6-7.5 sec 3 cut times.
So how did that 361 run at the races last year? and how does it compare to the 357 you just had built for racing? I am just so twisted on what to do with this extra 361 setting here with extra cyl, crank, etc and dont know which way to go with it all. Like I said may leave it alone, this one runs so darn good stock. pm me if you need Art for the full stories.

Cut that vid of that fast 361 sotra proves when it comes to mods no two are exactly the same. You ran that 357 apparently againist one that didn't respond so great to mods. Now the one in the vid is a whole new ball game. Its really unfair to judge modded saws size for size because the everyone's mods seem to take alittle different. Picking on the man about selling his 361 has nothing to do with comparing modded saws becuase his saw is stock. In stock form a 357 and 361 run so close its not worth talking about..

Only cut a few pines with it and thats it. If you haven't scratched it up and don't have sap all over it and it looks new ask $475.00-$500.00 firm, you can get it. Stihl's hold their value very well..
